Agents, Agents Everywhere, Nor Any Drop to Drink
This morning I attended Anthropic’s “Scaling Development with Remote Agents: Best Practices and Deep Dive with Augment Code”. Until this webinar, I hadn’t heard of Augment Code and I’m still not sure how much better this would be than the Claude Code Worktree workflow.
I’ll try it out soon. Here are the intro docs from Augment Code.
As is the case for most rabbit holes, I’m now updating some of my JetBrains IDEs as they can’t install the Augment Code plugin. I still really enjoy JetBrains and I remember being introduced to them way back in the early 2000s as IntelliJ. I think I was on the community edition (free!).
The play on words in today’s blog post title is from a poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, which I only know of because Iron Maiden, my favorite band of all time. has a song about it (and with the same title). You can listen to it here.
